Our Work
At Southwest Singletrack we find great joy in building fresh trail through the forest (or the desert). Trail building is both a science and an art, a creative process that when done well can lead to positive user experiences for years to come. Building by hand might not always be the most efficient method but it provides us the opportunity to work with the terrain in a way that minimizes erosion but maximizes fun. We strive to build trails that have a low environmental footprint but are durable and enjoyable to use. Trails are our passion and we're always looking for exciting new projects, so don't hesitate to reach out!

01
Old Agua Fria Pumptrack
Fulfilling a lifelong dream of building a pumptrack in our own yard. With help from our friends at Rocket Ramps, we designed and built an awesome pumptrack that rides fast and brakeless both directions. Includes a 6 foot starting deck with a roll-in to the Rocket Ramps 3 foot kicker. Come try it out!

Arroyo Hondo Headwaters
The Arroyo Hondo Headwaters project, spearheaded by Santa Fe Fat Tire Society and the USFS, marks the start of a new chapter for trails in the Santa Fe area. Working as a volunteer trail crew leader, Southwest Singletrack devoted over 100 hours in 2022 to helping build high-quality, sustainable singletrack in the national forest. Stay tuned for more trails to come in the new year!

Another private half-mile singletrack loop in the Arroyo Hondo neighborhood of Santa Fe. The trail loosely follows the perimeter of the property, showcasing the beautiful landscape. Built with mountain bikes in mind, it has become a daily ritual for the owner and their dog Tilly to get out for a couple laps. Constructed in fall '24, stay tuned for an extension to the loop coming summer '25!

Sandia Express
A black diamond rated bike-specific, downhill only trail in the Sandia mountains. The trail peels off a super fun machine built flow trail by Rocket Ramps, offering riders a taste of gnar, before rejoining the flow trail near the bottom. Featuring multiple drops, off-camber tech and sections of all out speed, this trail is an absolute blast to ride. Built fall '24, leading USFS and RMYC crews --opening spring '25!
